The Shell Eco-marthon is a big deal.

This is the competition where top engineering students compete to design and then race the best alternative energy vehicles they can make. These are the electric car and light electric vehicle builders of tomorrow!

In years past Electric Bike Technologies has worked with some very prestigious schools and the best of the best supplying motors and various parts used to win the competition with first and second place wins for the past four years!

Each year more and more teams contact Electric Bike Tech and this year we had a whopping 7 schools reach out to us for parts for their designs.

We are so excited to see what happens in this year’s race and wish everyone the best of luck!

We’re not at liberty to mention all seven of the schools using EBT products (it is a competition after all), but we can tell you that they are not all thinking alike. Some use differing motors and components depending on their individual race goals, riders, design and strategies.

Please checkout their individual team pages and let’s give these bright minds the attention they deserve.
